Democracy is for the people ,by the people, of the people,to the people ..... But we should have lawmakers ie the elected representatives above board. It is reported that the many honourable(!) members are having criminal background and involved inmany such cases. It appears that this category in number has grown from last elections. All political parties have indulged in selection of such candidates.Some such selected and elected M.Ps will adorn the posts of Cabinet Ministers!
Our voters are not being educated well on this issue. Our Election commsion should formulate strict rules to see that the tainted persons do not become our law makers. All the political parties should also understand this.
When will wisdom dawn?
